The recipe is taken from the cookbook “Spaghetti With Balls” written by Rene Corot. You will find a different sauce to your usual, made with oil and tomatoes, in the book. You can also purchase a packet that contains the mince meat (which was supposed to be Italian “parma”) from the original recipe. I will substitute the mince meat with onions, bell peppers, garlic, and tomato paste in this example.
Ingredients
1 tbsp cooking oil
2 can Tomato Sauce
1 lg Onion. Chopped
1 1/2 c water
1/2 lb Ground Beef
1/4 lb Uncooked spaghetti (1/2 – 8 oz. pkg.
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
To taste, add pepper
Parmesan Cheese Gratified
How to :
In a saucepan or skillet, heat oil.
Cook until onion is soft.
Place the Beef in a bowl.
Salt and pepper to taste
Add tomato Sauce and water to the saucepan, then bring to boil.
Break the spaghetti into pieces, add a bit at a time to Sauce, and stir it in.
Separate. Cover tightly. Allow to simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Continue stirring toward the end
Cook time. Serve with cheese, Serves 3-4
